Sentinel-5P Validation Team Meeting

Category: Collaborated Works

Sentinel-5 Precursor (S5P) satellite has been successfully launched on Friday, 13 October 2017 and is currently undergoing the satellite and TROPOMI commissioning.

The 2nd S5P Validation Team Meeting and First Results Workshop (05 - 06.02.2018 at the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) in Noordwijk, the Netherlands) aimed to bring the S5P Validation Team and scientists together at ESA to present the status of the S5P mission, products and applications, and to discuss Calibration and Validation aspects. During the workshop the S5P mission status and first commissioning results were presented and discussed (see program schedule).

Furthermore, all accepted authors were given the opportunity to present their projects in a focused presentation accompanied by a poster for in-depth information. Until June 2018 S5P was in the commissioning phase (lasting approximately 6 months ) where all instrument operation aspects were verified and in-orbit calibration and validation activities are initiated.
