Impact of Spectroscopy on CO from SCIAMACHY
In this article that was published on March, 27 2020 in Remote Sensing we describe our findings on the impact of different molecular spectroscopic datasets and corresponding line profiles on the quality of the CO retrieval from SCIAMACHY measurements.
ESA Living Planet Symposium 2019
The 2019 Living Planet Symposium (LPS) was held in Milan, Italy from 13 to 17 May 2019. We were presenting our latest developments in the CO retrieval from Sentinel-5p/TROPOMI Short-Wave Infrared observations.
ATMOS 2018
The conference was hosted by ESA and held from 26 to 29 November 2018 in Salzburg, Austria. We were presenting our latest developments in the CO retrieval from Sentinel-5p/TROPOMI Short-Wave Infrared observations. Very first results of CO total column retrievals from the updated Level 2 processor were shown in the poster session.
First Publication
On February 01, 2018 the study on "Validation of Carbon Monoxide Total Column Retrievals from SCIAMACHY Observations with NDACC/TCCON Ground-Based Measurements" was published in the peer-reviewed open access journal Remote Sensing (published by MDPI), see Remote Sens. 2018, 10(2), 223.
13th IWGGMS & 9th GOAST RA PI Meeting
The 13th International Workshop on Greenhouse Gas Measurements from Space (IWGGMS) was held on 6-8 June, 2017, at the University of Helsinki in Helsinki, Finland. The 9th GOSAT RA PI Meeting was held at the Finnish Meteorological Institute in Helsinki on June 9th with the participants of PIs and Co-Is.
ESA Living Planet Symposium 2016
The 2016 European Space Agency (ESA) Living Planet Symposium was held in Prague, Czech Republic from 9-13 May 2016. In the session of "Atmosphere & Climate Posters" we were presenting a poster entitled "Validation of Carbon Monoxide Vertical Column Densities Retrieved from SCIAMACHY Infrared Nadir Observations".
EGU General Assembly 2016
The European Geoscience Union's (EGU) General Assembly was held from 17-22 April 2016 in Vienna. Me and my colleagues from the German Aerospace Center (DLR) were attending with a poster presenting our effort in validating SCIAMACHY Carbon Monoxide and Methane Vertical Column Density products.
Master Thesis
In October 09, 2015 I finished my Master thesis at the Earth Observation Center at DLR in Oberpfaffenhofen. The major objective of the thesis was to examine the accuracy of SCIAMACHY carbon monoxide (CO) total columns derived from near infrared nadir radiometric measurements from 2003 – 2012.
Master Thesis Proposal
This is my Master Thesis Proposal for my master thesis started at 09.03 at the Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt in Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich. I was working as a student assistant at the Remote Sensing Department (IMF) in the institute Atmospheric Processors (ATP) (see IMF-ATP) on my thesis.
Bachelor Thesis
I wrote the thesis as part of the atmospheric science bachelor-curriculum at the University of Innsbruck in the summer semester 2012. The topic was "Messung von Spurengase der Atmosphäre mit Satelliten getragenen Sensoren: Der Sensor SCIAMACHY".
Wind shear analysis at Innsbruck Airport (LOWI)
This is the work I have done during my internship at Austro Control at Innsbruck Airport in August 2014. The goal to examine wind shear (WS) events defined by ICAO Annex 3 based on measurements obtained by wind sensors located around the airport. The aim of this report was to evaluate wind shear warnings at LOWI and if there is a possibility to find characteristics of these events based on the measurements of wind sensors ...
Infrared remote sensing of atmospheres of Earth-like planets
In February and March 2013 I conducted an internship (according to the master-curriculum in atmospheric science) at the Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR) within the Remote Sensing Department (IMF) in the Institute Atmospheric Processors (ATP) (see IMF-ATP) in Oberpfaffenhofen. In that internship I was working on examine the feasibility of atmospheric retrievals of atmospheres of Earth-like planets.
